Verbatim to unveil efficiency breakthroughs in OLED and high brightness GaN LEDs at Euroluce

Verbatim announced that it will unveil advances in the efficiency and
brightness of OLEDs and gallium nitride (GaN) LEDs at Euroluce 2013. Verbatim
LEDs employing gallium nitride technology from Mitsubishi Chemical will be on
view.

Visitors to the Verbatim stand will also be able to see the latest series of
VELVE(TM) OLED light modules incorporating advanced dimmable and
color-adjustable OLED technology. Verbatim’s latest lightweight VELVE modules
boast glare-free brightness of up to 2,000 cd/m2 – twice as bright as the
previous generation. The OLEDs operate at up to 51.6 lm/W which equates to 70%
greater efficiency than before.

The company will present a new set of profession-grade dimmable Classic A
LED lamps. Available in 7.5W or 10.5W to replace 40W or 60W traditional light
bulbs respectively, they all offer a wide beam angle (greater than 220°) and
warm white light at 2700K. An IP65 protected 7.5W Classic A E27 is suitable for
outside or wherever a waterproof LED lamp is needed.

Verbatim will also showcase downlight fittings. The new range perfectly fits
Verbatim’s PAR16 GU10 lamps and is available in packs which consist of a white
or aluminium fixed ring plus a holding pin, a GU10 socket and an electrical
connection box. The downlight fittings are available in two different IP
protection ratings. The IP23 rated version is suitable for general-purpose
lighting, while the IP44 version offers better water resistance for bathrooms
and other wet applications.
