Ulvac Technologies, Inc. of Japan, a supplier of instrumentation, production systems, and vacuum pumps for high-tech industries has opened an office in Santa Clara, California. The company says that the Silicon Valley office location gives its West Coast customers easier access to the company’s sales and service operations.
Ulvac points out that the new office is closer to the Japanese headquarters and various Asian markets. At the new location, a vacuum pump and leak detector repair center will serve the company’s regional customer base.
Ulvac recently launched a vacuum cooling systems for use in large-scale farms and the processed food industry to extend the product shelf life of fresh agricultural products, flowers, and meats. The company noted that it would be able to demonstrate the new Vacuum Cooling system at the new Santa Clara office.
“Much of the vacuum cooling market is located in California, and the new Santa Clara office puts us in close proximity to major customers,” said Wayne Anderson, President/CEO of ULVAC Technologies, Inc. According to Anderson, “The Santa Clara office will serve as a business development hub within a technology-rich region, enabling us to expand our market share in semiconductor, MEMS, and other high-technology industries.”
