Sierra Wireless Uses Skyworks Connectivity Solutions in Wireless Modules for Machine-to-Machine Communication

Skyworks Solutions, Inc. of Irvine, California USA, reported that Sierra Wireless uses a broad range of its components for 3G and 4G connectivity in its AirPrime® HL Series wireless modules.
The AirPrime modules target machine-to-machine (M2M) and device-to-cloud applications.

Skyworks pointed out that in total, Sierra Wireless uses 17 of its devices including DC-DC converters, RF switches, high performance multimode, multiband power amplifiers, transmit/receive front-end modules.

According to Skyworks,  its components help Sierra Wireless’ modules combine connectivity and voice functionality. Furthermore, Skyworks says that these features can be deployed in any region and on any wireless mobile network. Skyworks also contends that this combination of its components allows the M2M module from Sierra Wireless to be both compact and network scalable while offering global coverage
