Riber, a maker of MBE equipment, announced that a Chinese research institute has ordered two fully-automated research MBE systems. The institute plans to use the automated MBE systems, both model MBE412, for developing solar cell devices. The MBE412 system allow molecular beam epitaxy onto either 2-inch or 4-inch diameter wafers. The device is primarily used for developing new microelectronic or photo-electronic devices, and qualifying the devices before they go into full production.
Riber says it will deliver the new order in 2019.
