ProPhotonix to Distribute Integrated Optics’ Laser Modules

ProPhotonix Limited of London, UK reported that it has agreed to distribute the laser modules of Integrated Optics. ProPhotonix says that the Matchbox and ARA laser series from Integrated Optics, will complement its existing laser solutions, and give its customers additional configurable laser module platforms for a broad range of applications. Also, the company says that these lasers from Integrated Optics will open new market opportunities for ProPhotonics.

Integrated Optics says customized solutions are also available for more specific application demands.

Integrated Optics MatchBox Series of Lasers

The MatchBox Series comprises continuous wave lasers, four wavelength diode combiners, and Q-Switch nanosecond lasers. Integrated Optics says that as the name suggests, the exceptionally compact MatchBox Series offers simple integration and ease of use. It boasts one of the smallest packages in the world and comes with over 150 off-the-shelf product configurations.

Integrated Photonics contends that this laser module platform offers a perfect solution for applications such as spectroscopy (fluorescence spectroscopy), microscopy, laser-induced breakdown spectroscopy (LIBS) and Raman spectroscopy, medical diagnostics, flow cytometry, metrology, LIDAR, holography, and UV curing.

ARA Series of Laser Modules

The ARA series of high power wavelength incorporates four MatchBox Series lasers of differing wavelengths in a single unit that is said to be suited for microscopy and spectroscopy applications.

Jeremy Lane, managing director of ProPhotonix Limited UK commented, “Like ProPhotonix, Integrated Optics offers configurable platforms as well as custom solutions to suit specific application needs. As a result of this agreement, ProPhotonix extends the range of products it offers to OEMs.”

Lane further noted, “Several existing customers have already expressed an interest in solutions combining the technologies of our two companies including a recent MatchBox qualification and order in the amount of $185,000.”
