Monocrystal, a Russian-based synthetic sapphire growing and processing firm, reported that Osram Opto Semiconductors has awarded the company the status of “Integration Partner.” The Integration Partner status gives Monocrystal the highest possible supplier grade with Osram Opto Semiconductors GmbH.
Osram operates an efficient Supplier Classification Program to evaluate and qualify business partners that can help optimize Osram’s value chain and offer cutting-edge solutions, which can further drive the sustainable growth and development of both parties. Benefits of being an Osram integration partner include early engagement in Osram’s strategic programs, regular alignment with Osram’s technological roadmap, and extensive communication with Osram on all levels.
“This very rarely given status demonstrates the close partnership we have, and even more our intention to strengthen it together with Monocrystal. Today only a few suppliers at Osram are rated as Integration partners and we expect that Monocrystal will support Osram in developing innovative products for a number of promising applications on its core markets,” Osram’s commodity manager Thomas Wirthensohn commented.
“It is an honor for Monocrystal to receive such a high rank from OSRAM. We value our cooperation and understand our responsibility in supporting OSRAM in the extremely competitive LED market. We will continue our efforts in quality improvement and cost reduction, as well as in developing new products according to Osram’s current and future needs,” Monocrystal’s CEO Oleg Kachalov said.
