nLIGHT, Inc., a maker of high-power fiber lasers based in Vancouver, Washington USA, reported that it has filed a registration statement with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission for a proposed initial public offering of its common stock to raise $86.25 million. nLIGHT plans to register its common stock on the Nasdaq Global Market under the ticker symbol “LASR.”
The company, which currently has over 1000 employees, has previously raised 199.9 million in funding since its start in 2000. Investors in the company include Menlo Ventures, Mohr Davidow Ventures, Samsung Ventures, and Oak Investment Partners.
nLight Has Made Several Acquisitions Since its Inception
Since its founding in 2000, nLight has acquired Flextronics Photonics in November 2006, Liekki Oy in November 2007, and Arbor Photonics in January 2013.
Its operations include a semiconductor laser production facility in Vancouver, an optical fiber manufacturing plant in Lohja, Finland, as well as laser packaging and assembly facilities in Vancouver, Washington; Hillsboro, Oregon; and Shanghai, China.
