Warren, New Jersey- based Anadigics Inc., announced that multiple Chinese OEMs have selected the company’s ProEficient™ and ProVantage™ power amplifiers (PAs) to enable wireless connectivity in new smartphones.
“We anticipate that these new design wins for our ProEficient and ProVantage power amplifiers should enable a significant increase in our mobile products revenue at Chinese OEMs, “ Dave Cresci, president of Anadigics said.
The company’s ProEficient and ProVantage solutions employ the Anadigics’ patented InGaP-Plus™ technology along with its unique designs for the highest efficiency across all power levels. The solutions reportedly enable greater talk time and longer data application use. Anadigics designed both ProEfficient and ProVantage solutions for use with an external switch mode power supply (SMPS) to support average power tracking (APT), which can further increase the efficiency and reduce current consumption at low and medium operating powers.
First, the ProEficient Family offers compact packages with internal voltage regulation and integrated DC blocks on the RF ports to reduce PCB space requirements. Secondly, the ProEfficient family provides excellent linearity for stable, high-throughput 3G and 4G connections. Third, RF matching for the ProEfficient family is optimized for output power, efficiency, and linearity in a 50-Ohm system. The ProVantage family also comes in compact packages with internal voltage regulation and integrated DC blocks on the RF ports to reduce PCB space requirements The Provantage family also delivers RF matching optimized for output power, efficiency, and linearity in a 50-Ohm system.
