GigOptix Announces Power Amplifier Chipset for High Capacity E-Band Radios

March 28, 2012... SAN JOSE, California-- GigOptix, Inc. (otcqx:GGOX), a leading fabless supplier of semiconductor and optical components that enable high speed end to end information streaming over the network today announced the engineering sample release of the EXT7601 and EXT8601 power amplifier chipsets for high capacity E-band radios.

The E-band power amplifier chipsets are comprised of six chips, a pre-amplifier driving two medium power amplifiers that are coupled via two Lange coupler devices with a power detector on the output. These chipsets typically provide a Psat output power of 23dBm in the 71-76 GHz band and 22dBm in the 81-86 GHz band, including power detector losses.
