Cree Announces New GaN HEMT MMIC Power Amplifier
Source/Type: Company News Releases

January 12, 2010... Durham, North Carolina USA.--Cree, Inc. announces the release of a new GaN HEMT MMIC power amplifier, the CMPA0060025F, which offers 25 Watts output power over an instantaneous bandwidth of 20 MHz to 6 GHz. This product is ideal for military and ISM (industrial, scientific and medical) applications that require high power and broadband amplification up to 6GHz. The CMPA0060025F is packaged within a 0.25 square inch footprint, making it one of the smallest high-power amplifiers covering this bandwidth available in the marketplace. The MMIC can operate with supply voltages up to 50 volts and typically has 12 dB of power gain.

“The CMPA0060025F is a direct result of customer requests for a small, high-power, high-efficiency amplifier with performance through 6 GHz. It is designed to satisfy these requirements using Cree’s proven GaN MMIC foundry process and the convenient package format found in our other GaN MMIC products”

“The CMPA0060025F is a direct result of customer requests for a small, high-power, high-efficiency amplifier with performance through 6 GHz.
