Fairchild and Infineon Settle Patent Dispute with Cross License Agreement

December 30, 2009... Fairchild Semiconductor and Infineon have apparently settled their patent dispute, which began in November 2008. The dispute was settled with a patent cross licensing agreement. The dispute relates to fourteen U.S. patents concerning power transistors and metal oxide semiconductor field effect transistors (MOSFETs). Terms of the licensing agreement were not disclosed. Infineon reports that it is also in patent licensing discussions with other semiconductor companies. Fairchild Semiconductor News Release
