ANADIGICS Wins China Telecommunication Technology Innovation Award

May 7, 2009... Warren, New Jersey USA--Anadigics, Inc. (NASDAQ: ANAD) today announced that its AWT6221 HELP3(TM) WCDMA dual-band, power amplifier (PA), has won a China Telecommunication Technology Innovation Award. ANADIGICS was presented with the 'Excellent Achievement Award' in the Wireless Communication Technology & Solution class, and is the only RF provider to be recognized in this category.

The award is approved by the China Industry and Information Technology Ministry and was introduced in 2006 to encourage the development of innovative information and telecommunication products in China. These awards are considered the most influential honor presented by the Chinese government for technology innovation.

ANADIGICS' AWT6221 dual-band PA dramatically reduces average current consumption by 75% and delivers an increase in talk-time of up to 25%. Through selectable bias modes, ANADIGICS' HELP3(TM) PAs achieve optimal efficiency across the low-range and mid-range output power levels. The intelligent bias circuit of AWT6221 reduces current consumption to 8mA at low power levels. Through the integration of two independent PA chains, the tiny AWT6221 delivers uncompromised performance in both frequency bands and conserves printed-circuit board area.
