Firstsight - New additions to high-intensity LED ranges

May 8, 2008... New additions to the high POWER ring and dome diffuse LEDs, manufactured by CCS, are now available from Firstsight Vision. They further enhance inspection applications in the food, packaging, pharmaceutical, semiconductor, electronics and automotive industries. Applications include optical character recognition, component inspection and colour imaging.

With up to five times the light intensity of conventional diffuse ring lights, the HPR series now features the HPR -250SW and HPR-400SW ring lights, offering a field of view of 110mm and 200mm respectively. The HPD-250SW and HPD-400SW dome lights offer excellent uniformity of illumination over a larger are than was previously available. The HPD series offers an increase of intensity up to six times that of conventional dome LEDs.

Each of the new lights is available in white (5500K), red (625nm) and blue (470nm) versions. All models use a 24VDC power source and active fan cooling is not required, says the company.
