CS Outlook - Dec. 6-8, 2004

Still the consummate "insiders meet" this year's Outlook gathering in Dallas focused on the key convergence trends as they apply to the business of the compound semiconductor (CS) materials. We found out where the industry sees the greatest opportunities and challenges as we reviewed the last year, and forecasted the next, keying in on the major sectors including solid-state lighting and HB-LEDs, wireless and opto communications, and wide bandgap electronics. Attendees were in on the latest technology updates, controversies, market projections and developments, from the compound semi material and infrastructure up through the next generation applications driving this newsmaking industry.
