Dr. Christopher J. Pinzone, Director of Photonic Materials, Ahura Corporation Dr. Christopher J. Pinzone has over 24 years of crystal growth and materials
science expertise in research, development, and manufacturing environments.
Prior to founding Ahura Corporation, Dr. Pinzone was Director of R&D
Epitaxy and Characterization at Nortel Networks' CoreTek, responsible
for the ramp up of growth and characterization facilities, as well as
development of materials for next generation products. Previously he was
a member of the technical staff in the Physical Science Research Division
at Bell Laboratories in Murray Hill, NJ where he was involved with the
development and introduction of products such as the CATV analog laser,
and the integrated electro-modulated laser. He has been awarded degrees
in Chemistry, and Materials Science and Engineering from Rutgers and Stevens
Institute of Technology. He holds more than 10 international patents for
multi-quantum well laser growth, and wafer bonding processes. He has published
more than 25 journal papers, and given over 30 technical presentations.
He is a member of IEEE Lasers and Electro-Optics Society. He is also a
member of the Technical Advisory Board for Accent Optical Technologies
