Nancy Hartsoch
Prior to joining Sol Focus, Inc. in 2006 as director of corporate
marketing, Nancy Hartsoch was with Pacific Technology Group, which
she co-founded in 1994 in partnership with Taiwan-based Acer Labs
Inc. (ALi) to market, sell and support ALi's chip sets in the American
and European markets. In 1996 ALi acquired the sales/marketing operations
of Pacific Technology Group. As part of the acquisition Nancy joined
ALi as chief operating officer (COO) and in late 2000, Nancy rejoined
Pacific Technology Group as the company's president, to support ALi's
embedded PC market segment. Prior to that, Nancy was COO and VP for
Acer Laboratories Inc., USA from 1996-2000. During that time she grew
the organization from initially six individuals to include a team
of 45 sales, strategic and tactical marketing, application engineering,
design engineering and administration individuals. Previously Nancy
was the director of marketing for Appian Technology Inc., had a marketing
consulting firm for five years, held marketing management positions
with American Microsystems Inc. (AMI) for seven years, and was with
FMC Corporation for 3 years. At Sol Focus, she is responsible for
the company's international business, government and partner relationships,
worldwide corporate and marketing communications, branding, corporate
positioning, grants, and university partnerships. She is also driving
the company's green programs and will be working with industry and
government associations to condition the markets and facilitate the
proliferation of renewable energy concepts and practices. Nancy holds
a MBA from San Jose State University and a BA from the University's
School of Journalism and Advertising where she graduated with Great
Distinction. Nancy is also periodically involved at assisting non-profits
such as the San Jose Family Shelter and St. Barnabas School with various
programs to increase their visibility and resources.
